With Q1 now behind us we can now gather a sense of how much the desire to utilise auction has increased from the same period in 2023. And whilst the spreadsheets and the comparison of numbers create a clear picture of this, there is also lots of anecdotal evidence to confirm the statistics really do not lie. 

As an industry supplier to Propertymark, we are attending several events, and meeting with agents from all across the country. To date this year, we have been to six conferences, and it is clear that more agents are seeking to understand the benefits of online auction, or as we like to refer to it, our Secure Sale method, and the success it can bring to their business.

Our team continue to dispel the myths surrounding auction, and which are still harboured by many. Many agents were, and some still are, unaware of how simple is to add an auction department to their business at no cost, And more importantly realising how many of their sellers are in ideal positions to take full advantage of the process.

It is an exciting time for property auctions across London and the South East, after a strong first Quarter, the pace continues to gather momentum going into Q2. Our Partner Agent network across the region is growing, with more agents looking to adapt and ‘keep up with the times,’ as the intrigue and actual requirement for auction becomes more apparent.

The wide range of property types coming to market for auction has also been interesting, with great successes on what some may consider ‘non typical’ auction properties. For example, a 3-bedroom family home in East Dulwich came to market last month with a guide price of £700,000 and sold for £770,000 achieving a fantastic £70,000 over guide!

We look to have another strong quarter, which of course would not be possible without our network of brilliant Partner Agents, so thank you again for all your efforts and determination in a forever changing market!
